Register your 2009
Big Draw events! The Big Draw database of events goes
public in July, so register your full event details now
to ensure maximum publicity. We are contacted daily by potential
participants and press, but can only respond with the information
you give us! Everything needed to plan your Big Draw
is available on our website Resources page. Take a Power Drawing
course! Power Drawing, our year-round professional development programme, underpins the
October festival of creative celebration and demonstrates to educators, artists
and others the importance of drawing as a tool for
perception, communication and invention – and a skill for life.
There are still places available on Manchester (8 July), Southwark
(29 July) and Westminster (24 September) courses. Reserve a place at
our International Conference! Drawing for Learning, Engagement and Enjoyment held
in partnership with the Drawing Research Network, runs from 7-10
October 2009 in London. This landmark event is an opportunity
for cultural educators, teachers (in formal education and lifelong learning)
and artists from all over the world to come together
and explore drawing as a tool for learning, engagement and
enjoyment. For the full conference programme and booking details, visit
our international conference page. Nominate a pupil! Do you know a primary
or secondary pupil for whom the sketchbook has been significant
and who deserves recognition for her/his work? Sketchbooks in Schools, the
national project which promotes creativity in schools, aims to reward
pupils and teachers by celebrating excellence in practice. Find out
more. Enjoy the benefits of being a Big Draw organiser! Campaign
